This is the toddler’s TV Face.
A blank and emotionless expression…
For an hour a day, I move my guilt out the way,
While she quietly feeds her obsession…
While she quietly feeds her obsession…
The WallyBubba’s TV Face,
Used for Charlie and Lola, and Daisy.
Un-moving, un-distracting, un-flinching, un-blinking,
But turn-over and she goes shitting crazy.

Sometimes you need the TV Face,
When you’re sick, or hungover, or tired.
Just a bit of CBeebies to transfix the tod,
When you’re feeling parentally uninspired… *coughs*

We ALL know our child’s TV Face,
It feels like a guilty little sin…
But the constant Peppa demands, and endless Makka-Pakka chants,
Feel better if you also give in to #gin.

And an adorable face it is, too. There's something very comforting about those glazed expressions, isn't there…..a guaranteed break for at least a few minutes!
Replyha 😉 yes! It's usually my only chance of getting out of the door on time fully clothed! 😛 thanks for the comment :))) x
ReplyAww we don't have a tv face yet. Can't wait for the day it makes him sit still for more than 30 seconds!
Replyah you have it to come! He'll be still… but then you'll have the guilt to deal with… it's a vicious circle… lol x
ReplyAt least you feel guilty.. I don't. Which makes us the worse parent haha?
ReplyLol! I'm sure it won't take long for the guilt to subside 😉 teehee xx
